Cab
The control cab is centered and offers great ergonomics. Your field of view is wide and makes operation easier. It comes equipped with an exclusive HiVision® multifunctional display, which concentrates all harvest information, such as: losses, harvested area, worked hours, axle revolutions, engine function management, automatic controls, safety systems, among others, making harvest operations easier.
Engine
The Valtra BC 4500 combines are equipped with a 6-cylinder turbocharged SISU Diesel 620 DSR engine, with 190 hp of engine power, specially designed for agricultural applications, which provides increased performance in any terrain combined with low fuel consumption. One of the advantages provided by this engine is its approval to work with diesel and biodiesel B20 (80% diesel + 20% biodiesel).
Transmission
Controlled through a multifunction lever in the side console, the BC 4500 transmission is hydrostatic and has three speeds, which provides increased speed and better torque in all terrain and harvesting conditions.
Cutterbar Header
Equipped with a 500 series header, it is robust and easy to service. Even under the toughest conditions and low insertion of pods, the cut remains even and close to the ground. Its flexible system allows better adaptation to any type of terrain. The 500 series headers can be of 16, 18 and 20 feet.
Corn Header
The 500 series headers are durable and with low operating cost.
Their operation is simple and allows the cobs to be effectively picked up, thus avoiding losses and mechanical damages. The corn headers are available in the following options: 4, 5, and rows for spacing of 70, 80, and 90-cm and 8 rows with spacing of 50 cm .
Feeding
The feeder house is driven by belts with low vibration and noise levels mounted with double and split crossbars, which makes material flow easier and provides a continuous feeding to the threshing system. The reverser is electrically driven and makes unplugging easier, especially in those conditions with a great amount of weeds.
Threshing System
The BC 4500 is capable of threshing under any damp condition thanks to the 1270-mm wide and 600-mm long high inertia cylinder. The concave has a 119-degree wrap and 0.82 m2 of separation area. It is the largest threshing area and processing capacity available in the market.
Separation and Cleaning
The separation system is comprised of five straw-walkers with overall area of 5.25 m2, and a grain pan with independent movement provides an even grain distribution. The cleaning show is split, providing increased strength to the assembly and making maintenance and cleaning easier. The sieves have high dividers that compensate for the ground contours and keep the performance in sloped terrain. The exclusive design of the front axial fans generates a great air flow and provides the best cleaning in the category.
Return
The system is independent, which prevents the return to the cylinder. It has two rotors with friction elements, which are responsible for the return and for lifting the material to the grain pan, improving the effective threshing capacity.
Grain Tank and Discharge System
The grain tank capacity is 5200 liters, which represents approximately 66 bags of soybeans. The BC 4500 is equipped with a 4.5-m high unloading tube and flow rate of 86 liters per second (the largest in the market). These features ensure a fast discharge.
